The top of my engine is covered in oil and seems to be leaking out of the oil filler neck. Theres always been a bit round there but recently theres a lot more.
Everything I've searched on this points to PCV failure but I've got a BSH PCV delete. Any ideas why?
Thanks,

Have you still got the engine cover with the oil cap extension section? I changed my PCV last night and noted a fair amount of oil around the cap - turns out my extension section is loose so although cap is in tightly it's coming up around the extension. I binned the extension and put cap straight on and will monitor for oil spillage now.

I'm going to remove the extension at the weekend and see where that gets me

Didnt realise you can remove the neck. Mine is stiff last time I tried.

Its bonded on, compress the bottom with a g-clamp, work your way round. It helps weaken the bonding and then a big pair of gland pliers/water pump pliers/5 holes (whatever you like to call them) and it twists off eventually. Takes some doing though.
Once it's off you'll see the top has the cutouts for the oil filler cap.

Stillsons? Sounds like something thats designed to stay on. My old Leon PD150 just twisted off as easy as the filler cap did. I assumed the TFSI did the same, but was so tight. So I altered the engine cover for the induction kit instead. Thanks for the knowledge tho!

Stillsons won't bite onto the plastic (ask me how I know! )
These are what you need, biggest set you can get your hands on

Any risk in anything falling inside when your breaking the bonding crap? Might give a go in the summer.

Nope goes pretty clean. Went round and carefully pulled a couple of loose bits off after
