Morning all,
One of those horrible ones for me this morning I am afraid, just took a phone call from my dad to say that overnight someone broke into our house and took the keys to both his Golf and his partners Rocco, stealing both cars.
They were taken from Walsall, West Midlands
Mk7 Golf GTD in Dark Grey Metallic, totally standard with cloth interior - BU64 XMP
Mk3 Scirocco 2.0 Tdi in that mid-metallic blue they sold loads in, cloth interior, R badge on back, - AD59 NVP
No photos I am afraid, but they are both standard.
If people could keep their eyes out it would be much appreciated - PM me on here, or you can contact me on oh seven seven 38 26581 nine
Alternatively, I am assuming West Mids Police are the ones dealing with it, so obviously you could contact them! (I say assuming as I am away from home at the minute and cant head back just yet to get the full story)
Cheers

Further to details above, I never thought to add, Golf is a 3 door

Damn sorry to hear this hope they find them
-
barstewardss mate.
hope something positive happens.
-
Same thing happened to me.They did,nt find my GTI and to be honest I was glad.
Did they bump the locks on the door?.The police Kindly(?) showed me how they did it.
They also said that the norm is to park the cars up for a few days then return for them. Hopefully the Police find them first.
Good luck mate.

Yup snapped the lock on our back door! Police think it was a massively planned operation and would of been behind the house already in preparation. Still heard nothing unfortunately.
Don't particularly want the cars back, but would be nice to know that a police chase broke out, forcing the golf and scirocco to collide at high speed rendering the culprits well and truely buggered hard in 2 cars that had burst into flames! But maybe that's just my wishful thinking.

Well said!! They deserve only the worst. Too many people out there are too afraid to say what they really think. Sorry to hear about it!

Hope you hear somthing positive back.
What you actually hoped for happend to a thief up here in scotland. Trapped in car while it went up in flames while his mate watched and i think his mate got some jailtime. Sad for a family but one less thief.
Makes my blood boil hesring people getting their cars stole and i really hope it doesn't happen to me.
Anyway good luck.

Interesting update - The scirocco has been found - Was actually found a week ago in Kingstanding, Birmingham, but the police decided to not tell us until today :stupid:
No sign of keys, but the car is there.
With that in mind, as much as I had suspected we wouldn't be seeing either of them again, if anyone in Birmingham sort of area can still keep there eyes peeled for the golf, or are offered Mk7 GTD parts for suspiciously low prices etc, If they could give me a shout it would be much appreciated!
Cheers

Some good news!!
-
That's strange but good news sort of hope it's in an alright condition mate!
-
Yeah, waiting to hear from my Dad once he has actually been and seen it, but it sounds like it is undamaged and just parked up, locked etc.
-
I think It will have been dumped left for a good few days then If it's still there the thieving scum will then move it away seen as it hasn't been noticed etc but luckily in your case it's been found

Maybe you should leave the car and keep watch over it. When they come back to move it run them over!!!! :driver:
