Hi,

New to the forum

Ive currently got an 57 plate Edition 30 with an MFD2 and want to upgrade to the almighty RNS510

Doe anyone have any experience with

Is DAB+much better than DAB?

What else will I need to get a DAB unit plumbed in?

I also assume I'll need the Can Gateway, is that right?

£679 going to Poland, I'm not that brave  :scared:
57 plate you might be lucky with the canbus, other guys on here have been, guess you need to check your revision to be sure.
Not sure we get DAB+ in UK...
You will need a DAB aerial, either stick on screen (waste of time), or replace roof one with polo combined DAB, of aerial that has everything GPS,phone,fm,dab something like this

you still won't have Bluetooth music or phone tho

Thats exactly what I was thinking, so just wondering if anyone has an experience with this sort of purchase

VCDS is the only way to check the CANbus isn't it?

The previous owner has put a bluetooth module in there so I can make phone calls. Does this mean i will also have the ability to stream via BT? How would I check if so?

Thanks for your help on the aerial, is german Ebay the place to go for them?

It is the easiest way, but not the only one. You can inspect it physically.

Depends on the module. Again, you will need to check the part number with VCDS or inspect the module physically. The original location of the BT module will be under one of the front seats.
