Title: Bad Luck With My iPhone 5s & Meteor Network
Post by: lukemk5gti on March 02, 2015, 03:50:03 pm
I've had my iPhone 5s for 6months now and only about 2 months in the lock button broke, then the battery went to crap, then one speaker failed and finally the touch button started to go.

I got onto meteor and they told me I was completely covered under warranty.

That Friday, I got out of the car and dropped the phone and it took a tiny dent to one corner.

Now they tell me they won't do any of the work. Even though the problems listed above are not connected to the fall last Friday, they say that damage voids the warranty.

This is just one month after they raised my bill by 10% and told me there was nothing I could do.

Great company aren't they!!

It's 6 months old which I do have proof of.

So you just contacted apple and told them it was broken and they sorted it all out?

I think I'll try that so! Thanks

What was the increase for anyhows?

Long story short, I was with the network for about 10 years so when I was getting a new contract I asked for a better price on my bill.

I got the increase signed off and the call was recorded. A few months later the bill shot up and they denied that I should have ever gotten a reduction on my bill.

After fighting for a few days they told me I could listen to the recorded call but as I had made several in that period I would have to pay for each and they were around €10 each off the top of my head.

I eventually found proof of this deal and they said that in their T&C's that they're able to remove any promotion for no reason and with no notice at any time which is what they had done to me.

P.S. I checked with apple direct and as my phone was damaged after the other items failed it is not covered under warranty now.
