Hi guys. Basically just a question about my daytime running lights (the us spec type) Should I expect these to be a failure? From what I've been told it should be fine, but just double checking.
-
A lot of new cars have them, so shouldn't be a problem, tho its up the tester.....
-
Let us know how it goes, mine is due in May. Would be good to know if I need to turn them off before hand :happy2:
-
I'll report back tomorrow
-
Mine failed for having the US Spec Lights... saying that though it was MOT'd at VW direct and they were very strict :fighting:
Its all down to the tester i guess :rolleye:
-
Passed with no advisories or any mention about the drl. also commented on how its obviously looked after which is nice to hear :driver:
-
Glad you passed. :happy2: Will make sure I don't take it to the stealers for mine
-
Glad you passed. Never take to dealer for MOT. Clear conflict of interest.

true. I always take mine to a local MOT place who don't do repairs. No ulterior motive

Cheers guy's ☺ As for the drl, I guess it just depends on who mots your car. to be honest, I'm still not convinced theyre 100% legal but I like them haha

I have to agree, although I have seen other mk5 owners on the road look twice and be a little confused

Haha yeah I know what you mean. I've had 2 mk5 owners ask how to do it. Always handy having mates with vagcom ☺
