Are there different types of dsg sttering wheel in a mk5 gti?
I fitted a mfsw from an 09' car a while ago which had a menu button but swapped today for a dsg wheel but now cant find out how to switch between multi function display, audio, set up etc... on the display?

one was the older type which you have fitted. that doesnt have a menu button.

Oh cheers....
Is there any other way of scrolling through the menus?

depends what clusters they are, earlier ones you can keep the rocker switch held and it will bring up the menu

Yea it used to do that but can't get it to work now.....

Maybe something needs to be reprogrammed in the control module

Yea can't see what though...... Arrow buttons for ffd and rewind not working either.

I got a newer mfsw with paddles on our 2005 MK5. The menu button doesn't work on the wheel for the highline menus but you can still press and hold in the computer button on the stalk and that works fine...... then use the arrows and ok button on the wheel.
