For a bit of fun.....
As above. I'm off to Noble Motorsport again on Monday to see what (if anything) has changed in power from the last time.
Some info BEFORE you vote.
Changed REVO settings from B9 T6 F9 to B9 T7 F6 as per REVO's recommendation and a few logged runs with VADGIE-COM.
Added 2 500ml bottles of Millers CVL Turbo 4 point octane booster to lift the fuel from 99 ron Shell V-power to 102/3 mixture.
The result will be for a gain against the max power attained last time, but really what I am personally looking for are gains across the rev range and a lift in torque levels.
No prizes apart from the smug, warm feeling you will get inside if you are correct
Happy guessing ...... and remember if you don't add in a post below with your guess, no-one will know you were correct :happy2:

Okay, who thinks I'll lose more than 5bhp?
Phil Mc (Steve), must be you after your last exploit :signLOL:
-
10 + :happy2:
but replying to your own first post is a real sign youve lost it anyway :stupid:
-
Yes, but Millers CVL turbo -is not Redex is it :happy2:

I lost it a long time agao :signLOL:

Millers make great beer...
-
6 Bhp more
-
im going devils advocate,
that vid of fifth gear testing the additives in the rover K series showed it losing 2bhp each time,
so ive gone for 2bhp.(prove me wrong please)
-
5bhp. Though having said that I lost 6bhp from weather conditions alone!
-
30 bhp less.
:booty:
:happy2:

:happy2:
Is that so I can be the same as yours Dave  :P :signLOL:

You would need to loose a couple of cylinders!
Or about 150 horses!
:happy2:

+7bhp for me :happy2:
-
8 BHP more for me :happy2:
-
what was your figure before?
-
10+ for me as its really cold today
-
+10 for me too...... :happy2:
-
what was your figure before?
Figures before were 366.3bhp and 336.2lbft.
-
Just done the RR this morning and then dropped the car off for some more work doing.
Noble's Dyno raring to go and the figures are in....................
378.6bhp and 353.6lbft!!
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Ft8%2Fhurdy_album%2FNobledynograph30112009.jpg&hash=6b67a5752b5fed7020283df4a173eb573419ab41)
So, an increase of 12.3bhp and 17.4lb/ft over my last settings with just V-power.
Not bad, but the story is a little deeper. Torque and power as a result has been lost between2000rpm and 3300rpm, but the pull is much more pronounced and when keeping the car at 3k+rpm it is just so much stronger. :driver:
Next step is to get it back on after the decat is in place. :happy2:
-
  great result hurdy!!!!!
-
Hmm nice result :congrats:
-
Nice numbers Hurdmeister! :congrats:

Nice numbers Hurdmeister! :congrats:
Cheers Nath. Thinking about having 380PS as a decal on the side of the car in Carbon vinyl
Even if you go by my Dyno Dynamics readout from earlier this year it equates to over 352bhp
and on the Superchips dyno I did 363bhp when I did 333bhp at Nobles a few weeks earlier, so that would equate to 408bhp at Superchips now
-

I don't think the SC dyno is being as generous these days mate!

Interesting results but instead of all the octane boosters, have you thought of trying some BP 102 RON petrol?
-
Mine made 350hp 385tq at RS Tuning (Dyno Dynamics) on V-Power.. So with your De-Cat and pump fuel that should be perfect..
All the cars run basically the same power (with like for like mods) this just shows how going from Dyno to Dyno can vary the results so much!!
Good results mate, bet its running lovely now!

No BP102 RON around here :sad1:
TBH I think most of the increase came from logging and setting the car up right with the REVO SPS+ controller and maybe 4bhp from the octane booster. Either way the car is running really well at the moment. Let's hope it is still running as well when I get it back at the end of the week after my next raft of mods are completed :innocent:

I was thinking the same Jonny :happy2:
The car is really strong now, so it needs some dietary requirements and more grip through the twisties
-
Mine is on the go as we speak

I'll await developments in your build thread then Jonny :happy2:
-
nice figures John :happy2:
what the correction factors like?
Can the 2.0 TFSI adjust if you keep upping the RON above this ?
-
Wow i'd love to go on that dyno :rolleye:

From memory the highest correction factor was on cylinder 3 and was 4.something. Mostly there was no correction factor, so it must have been the right settings on REVO Timing and Fuelling. :happy2:
Judging by this there is more timing to come from upping the Ron as I was only on T7, so T8 and T9 to go at and plenty of alternative fuelling settings. :jumpmove:

I reckon you'd be 415+bhp on Noble's Dyno
