Iv been having a problem starting my car for the past few months and its slowly getting worse and worse!!!
Basically almost every time i come to start my car the engine and glow plug light won't come on when i turn the ignition on and if i try to start it, it just won't start.
I have to keep turning the ignition on and off unit the engine and glow plug light comes on and then it will start.
I have scanned it with VCDS and every controller has a fault saying no communication from engine controller, i have checked all the fused and all the replays but nothing
I have come to the conclusion its a ECU fault I'm just wondering if anyone has had the same happen to them or know anything that could help me out?
Any hep would be great

Not much help I know but how old is the battery. I'd eliminate the easier suspects first. And don't worry everything can be fixed. :happy2:

If it is the ecu you can sent them away to get repaired

I know iv seen a company who repairs them for £250 only problem is I use my car ever day so don't want to send it away and it's not even the ecu! :/

Yeah its a catch 22 situation,Mine had the same problem 2weeks after I bought it so they recovered back to vw and told me it was the ecu because my amps had blown the ecu and I will have to pay for it.Told them it is not the amps doing it,Got a phone call saying it was fixed and the problem was some fuses in the wrong place..Which I can't understand as it had been running fine and has since

Oh right that is little strange?! I wonder what they really did! Might have to have a quick look at EVERY fuse and make sure its in the right place then! :indifferent:
