Title: Dashboard indicator arrows on all the time
Post by: DrG_GTi on March 09, 2015, 09:07:54 am
Hi all, issue started this morning. Parked up turned hazards on as only stopped for a few mins in staff parking bay. Came back to alarm going off and dash arrow indicators on solid, even with ignition off.
Outside bulbs/indicators still functional.

Any ideas?
Cheers.

disconnect the battery to see if that fixes it

on the mk4 it was a relay in the hazard light switch

However on the mk5 I'm sure it is controlled by the CECM

So update: got back to the car, dash light out back to normal.... Weird. Wonder if it just got "stuck" having the hazards on and arming disarming the alarm... Did a vcds scan, loads of DTCs, most just comms errors cleared them all and all ok, odd!

Mines done that before, they were making the clicking noise aswell but not flashing.
Never happened again.
