If I buy a MFSW without an airbag etc, can I just put everything from my own steering wheel into the MFSW? Cheers
-
This shows the parts for both wheels
http://www.partscats.info/volkswagen/en/?i=cat_vag_models&brand=vw&number=1714&set=1728&ein=2007&f=474&hauptgr=1234567890&hg=4&grf=041920482&bf=41920&hgug=419&ug=19&parent_id=2345612
And the air bag item 9 is common :happy2:

Perfect, thought the airbag adapter might be different! Thanks! :)

The adaptor loom for the MFSW to airbag is different

Yes, you can use the same airbag and as said you will need the new airbag loom, they are dead easy to swap over....
-
Great thanks, if my steering controle module has cruise control and is 1K0 953 549 AF , does that mean I still have to buy another control module?
-
Yes, that's a Midline controller and you need a Highline one for MFSW. (1K0-953-549-CH is the one everyone goes for - you can get them from China quite cheap - which is what I did, as well as the airbag harness!)
-
I used German ebay to get the controller...was a lot quicker same price and genuine.
-
Couldn't find anything on ebay.de remotely in the price range of the chinese controllers, the only one under a 100quid + shipping was a chinese controller on ebay.de haha
