Title: In tank fuel pumps?
Post by: GTiBlues on March 16, 2015, 07:08:32 pm
From recent research I'm guessing Walbro is the best for a replacement? Anyone know where's best to buy one? Also part numbers?

On demon tweeks theres 2 types, Walbro GSS340 High Pressure Fuel Pump or Walbro GSS342 High Pressure Fuel Pump.

They're both the same pressure and flow, but have different pick up heads.   340 has a central pick up with a gauze (filter) and 342 has an offset pickup.  You need to see what style the OEM pump is.

I'm led to believe the stock pump + a Loba is good for over 500hp though, so not sure why you need a beefier in-tank one?

Well its only because mines failing, its a hunting hump now when it primes when you open the door for the first time. As soon as you come to a stop at traffic lights, the idle hunts for the same amount of time the LPFP primes. Was suggested to get them as they are more reliable etc.
