Title: IPod Lead in glovebox?
Post by: GTI8v on March 19, 2015, 07:49:11 pm
Hi all
I've found this lead in the glovebox,
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fv356%2Frob4462%2F20150319_1932581.jpg&hash=03f5adc9491fbabfa30e2962ad520c16c4e6830e)
it doesn't work with an Iphone as I've tried pluging one in, lead is connected to something as the phone gave a message say it didn't support the device so I'm guessing it's for an Ipod.
Once I've found an ipod to test, what do I select on the CD player to test if it works?

Apologies for picture not being very clear... it's like the lead in this post...

Thanks

Thanks, I never thought to press the CD button when I was testing the lead with the phone.
Will try to find an Ipod to test before I buy one.

Press cd button twice fast
I use my old iPhone 3gs on mine and works fine
If you create 6 play lists within the phone it displays as list of cds 1-6 and each cd number is a play list  :happy2:

Well I tried it today with a borrowed Ipod and it worked, pressed the CD button twice and it showed the external CD player.
Thanks for the advice and now to find a cheap Ipod.  :rolleye:
