chaps
Havn't been on for a while as I have been hanging around A4 forums leading upto and picking up my new motor.
I have had the new A4 for a couple of months and wifey's ED30 has taken a back seat. New toy and all that...
BUT.......I took it out for a spin this morning, having not driven it for 6-8 weeks.
Flippin heck its quick and even with greasy roads the grip and handling is impressive to say the least.
It took me back to when we first got it and the BIG smile factor.
The trouble is after living with a car for a bit you do tend to get use to it, but to all you chaps on here................you are all very lucky boys, these are amazing little motors
ENJOY...........................

I enjoy every single time i get a chance to steal it from wifey and take it for a spin. :notworthy: :driver: :grouphug:

Ditto matey, this one is 'er car and it is difficult to prise the keys out of her hand.
Its a waste really its not getting the use/enjoyment it deserves.
She did say last week she fancied a EOS or A4 cab...........and thats just plain mad.

Take miles off ED30 ?
Its there to enjoy... its not a Bugatti Veyron lol where u lose like £1000 a mile.
I was the same like you, but ive bought my Pirelli to enjoy it and put as many miles on as possible... :jumping: :driver:
Now get driving that ED30 :pomppomp:

I always loved getting back into the ED after driving the R32. Longest was about 5 weeks and sh1t me did the ED feel rapid!!!
-
oh yeah , always worth a switch back to stock if youre remapped to feel the 'whoosh' again
-
Just drove mine this weekend for the 1st time in 2wk's :notworthy: :driver: Map off then switched on over my favourite back road :happy2:

One thing that really impressed was the manual box.
Bro has a TTS with DSG and its very nice.
My A4 has Multitronic with paddles, which again is great.
But it would not seem right not havingh a lever to throw in the ED30.
....Runs for cover.....
All seem to agree though, these are special cars and leaving them for a bit just knocks it home more.
Wonder if Ash feels the same when he leaves Cheryl alone for a few days..

I got in mine for the first time in 3 weeks yesterday, my daily is a 60Bhp Kangoo van so the ED scares the crap out of me for the first few miles lol
Love mine, by far the best car i've ever owned! :happy2:

I think that it's because the GTI has a turbo which gives us all a rush.
