Title: RNS 510 light sensor
Post by: Rukz on March 21, 2015, 08:32:09 pm
Good evening all,

Is there anyway to deactivate the light sensor (located on the top right corner) on the RNS 510?

I want the manual brightness settings chosen in the set up menu to take full and final priority without the light sensor overriding and dimming the screen.

Thanks in advance

If you fancy taking it apart you could do it, I have no idea if it could be done via custom firmware

Opening it up.... Well ideally no I wouldn't want to do that. Nonetheless, how would I do it if that's the only route to go down? Cheers

I guess it's just using a LDR so desoldering and placing a 5k resistor there should do it?

Sounds like a good idea... However, it also sounds just a bit too scary for me  :scared: definitely not something I'll be able to do :driver:
