I'm having problems regarding the bluetooth in car. Connecting with Iphone 6 is fine but will only show telephone book in surname order. I've tried looking at Iphone and RNS510 and nothing about changing to first.
Anyone got this issue and if so how did you resolve this?

get it coded to show the other way round

How is this done through VCDS
-
I've had a similar issue but 'fudged it' by putting both the first name and surname in the first name box of the iphone. Not ideal especially if you e got a lot of contacts.

No this doesn't work. My iPhone displays them by first but once connected in car it comes up surname on car only.

Will have to look into the VCDS, surprise more people haven't commented here as surely Bluetooth in car is a common thing.

I thought it was common to have Bluetooth in cars but I'm struggling to find anything that will work in mine.
Have a 2008 Mk5 GTi ( don't have steering wheel control) and can't find any head units that have integral Bluetooth so i can steam music from an iPhone and answer the phone, do anyone else have one or can recommend one?

I'm in the same situation, did you ever sort yours out?

As far as I can gather this is a VCDS thing but surprisingly nobody has given a definite answer as yet.

Rcd / rns 510 + add a bluetooth module. Job done.
There are cheaper rns copies that have it all in one, no idea how good they actually are though. Have a look in the audio section.

Works perfectly with iPhone, streams music, displays tracks and you get phone book and hands free calls.
