Hi guys just to pick your brain I just took the car for an mot and it failed due to the rear fog light not working bulb is fine and everything else works in the rear ?
Been reading and some people have suggested a broken wire ? Could this be the case ? The car has a later mk6 silver tipped headlight switch would this make a difference . Oh and I had front fogs which were removed when I fitted the r32 front could the rear have been disabled when these were removed ??
Any help would be appreciated

Have you tried replacing the bulb?

Bulb works fine

Check fuse - not sure which one, but Google fuse layout.
If that is ok, check if 12v power is getting to the socket.
If not, then it could be the switch but probably wiring.
One of the weak wiring points is where the loom comes into the tailgate.
