Hi guys, I have only got a Greek handbook and I do not read / speak greek, what is the button next to the traction control in the centre console, it appears to have been well used it is worn but seems to show a ' tyre profile ' ?

It is used to reset the tyre pressure monitoring system should the symbol light on your dash
Usually an indicator of a tyre loosing pressure :happy2:

Tpms dude it's tyre pressure monitoring, basically a reset button if the light comes on because of a flat tyre etc

Once you've inflated the tyres to the correct pressures press and hold that button for a few seconds to set the TPMS. It'll then go off if you get a flat tyre or puncture. It's not much use if you don't set it correctly in the first place.

The TPMS is useless IMO. I forgot to reset it after having new tyres fitted it took 10km before the warning light came on.

It's not useless, as detecting the rolling circumference from full tread to no tread is hardly anything, where as if you have a flat the circumference measured from the abs sensors will be quite different and will throw up the light quite quickly

A gaurantee if you go and inflate both fron tyres to 35psi and set it on the button then let one tyre down partially to say 15-20 psi to mimic a slow puncture the warning light/dong will come on preety sharpish :happy2:

I just think 10 km is a bit long for it to notice that a tyre had low pressure.

Could you not tell your tyre was low on pressure from looking at it?

Wasn't really looking just went for a spin to check out the new tyres that had been fitted. Lesson learnt don't trust the tyre places.

I have a slow puncture, mine comes on once it gets down to about 18/19 PSI, although I usually top it up every few days.

I was behind a woman the other day dodging pieces of tyre as she was running on the rims. By the speed she was going i bet she didn't even know. I'm glad i have TPMS just incase the wife ever uses the car.

Unless the last owner had got a serious hang up with tyre pressures I suspect this switch does more than tyres, it's completely worn through the black so the symbol is almost illegible, on a very low mileage car, no other part of the interior is worn.
Car has been tuned and this switch would be a quick way into the ecu presumably ? I am having some info sent over on the tuning from the original owner, let's see if that holds any clues ?
I have been aware in the past of switchable power settings, one for you and one for the wife to use to the shops, is it done these days, will hopefully get to know the company used as well soon.
