Title: Maximum power with standard air filter
Post by: Shoduchi on March 28, 2015, 05:44:40 pm
Just wondering how much power can a DSG Edition 30 make with a standard air filter, a Full Powervalve Turbo Back System with 200 Cell Cat, a Darkside IC and a Loba HPFP.

In my country the police officers can be worse than MOT inspectors. I might get fined, get the car arrested and the car sent to a special MOT if one sees even a boxed CAI (I was thinking of getting one from VW Racing to prevent problems but that might not be enough) because it doesn't come standard with the car.

Thank you for your input.

Cheers

I've got 314bhp with a standard intake & Pipercross panel filter. A HPFP would give me more midrange which may lead to a few more horses top end.

You would probably hit a wall at around 330bhp I recon with all that lot

330 bhp aren't that bad. Unfortunately the Police has orders to get money from drivers, so some aren't understanding about modifications and it's a real PITA to legalize anything. I'll try to legalize the VW Racing CAI by getting it fitted by VW, if they give me a paper good enough to be accepted by the government institute that rules over car papers.

It can be done for parts that come from factory on other versions, but for CAI... I'll have to see well first before buying one. :sad1:

If all goes well, I'll buy the Eddie Tuesday.

No more opinions/feedback on tuning with OEM admission?
