Title: Secondary Inline Thermostat - Part Number Please?
Post by: lukemk5gti on March 30, 2015, 09:01:20 am
This is an issue we've all seen a thousand times on here.

My 2005 K03 manual mk5 gti did not reach 90degrees unless it was sitting in traffic.

I replaced my main thermostat and now it reaches 90degrees after 20-30mins.

This long warm up time leads me to believe my secondary inline thermostat is gone.

VW have been no help and I've searched on here but cannot find the part number for this secondary inline thermostat.

Anyone able to help?

Hi there

Just ordered mine on Saturday (2 x as an early DSG) along with the main thermostat.  Thought I might as well change everything whilst the coolant is out.

Part number you need is 4E0 121 113.

Hope this helps!

You're a gentleman. That's the secondary inline for a manual gearbox then yes?

I'll try pick it up on the weekend. Are you doing it yourself? If so what guide are you following?

Thanks!
