Title: Bonnet Bra's
Post by: GTi-Andy on March 31, 2015, 03:23:00 pm
Is it only me that doesn't get these at all and think they look gash??

I really think they look horrendous and completely spoil the look of the front end

Also, do they serve any purpose??

Have to agree! I've seen far too many VW Polos out there lately with them too.

Your car is worth £500, why did you spend a fifth of that on a piece of plastic....

I've seen one or two on GTI's also and they completely ruin the image.

only good thing is that you can use them when traveling to a meet or a long jurney with the car to protect from stone chips etc.

They smell suspiciously of 'I want to do a mod, any mod, itching, got only pennies to spend, will do anything' And unfortunately they tend to get used in any way other than their intended design - left permanently on the car picking up dirt between itself and the paintwork, doing damage.

Rather than using it as an unquestionably ugly but effective temporary means of protecting A1 paint on genuine prize-winners for the few hundred miles they pick up in their lifetime when they actually see any time on the road between shows or work (as mentioned above).

Bad because they're ugly, even worse when they're used as a sceney mod that stays on the car sat still at a show.

Silly.
