Title: trying to book for stage 1
Post by: Jknight89 on March 31, 2015, 06:07:26 pm
Hi guys I'm trying to get hold of r tech to book in for a stage 1. Ive tried calling the last couple of days and left a message but I'm guessing like any decent mappers they are hard people to get hold of. Also tried a email to info@r-techpower.co.uk. Do any of you know if thats an active email address still as you ones on the contact details on this forum are different.

Sure I read that Ben has been off a couple of days. If you've sent the email - you will get a reply when they can. Be patient

I've had an acknowledgment email from them so hopefully they can get back to me within the next few days. To be fair I have no choice i only want a r tech map after hearing such good things.

Try to call between 8 and 9am mate, I got hold of Mr Gower last time I tried at that time - this is before the first remap slot of the day I believe.

I've been trying to contact R Tech for nearly a week I've tried everything from calling at various points throughout the day, email and Facebook and still no joy. Anybody else having the same problem?

What happened to being patient? I guess you don't realise how many emails and answerphone messages they get. Facebook is a no go.

What email address did you use?

Dan I used info@r-techpower.co.uk and I did get a courtesy reply.  I also contacted them via there web page using the contact form. I am being patient that's why I haven't booked in else where. Id rather wait and have it done at R tech. Also I kind of had a date in mind where I was free. So wanted it done on that date otherwise I'm not sure of another date due to work commitments etc

Nothing to do with Niki, he doesn't do any of the admin/booking side of it.  A week i'm guessing was actually 4 working days with the bank holiday, and if the guy doing the office/bookings has been off and is playing catch-up....

Also Niki's Facebook profile suggests using workshop@r-techpower.co.uk so maybe try that?

I'm not saying it's acceptable, just providing possible reasons. I know i would be the same in your position. Give them a call Tuesday morning first thing

Yes Dan you are correct. First time I tried to contact was last Monday so 4 working days up until Friday and obviously the bank holiday hasn't helped. I'll keep persisting I won't be giving up

Will be worth the wait/hassle. Just make sure the car is in A1 condition before turning up, check the usual DV, PCV etc etc.

PCV is fine, replaced the diverter valve for revision g as recommended on here. It was a revision B or C that came out so possibly the original. Apart from that car is tidy, low mileage recently had full service, cam belt etc. Hopefully won't be any issues

Hi,

Easter holidays so closed for a few days plus the weekend and Ben took two days off early last week.  All you need to do is send one email or leave one voice mail and you will get a reply when Ben catches up with the list to call back.   Its pointless keep ringing as when a car is on the dyno we cannot hear the phone, then reason it goes to voice mail so Ben can return calls.

Hi niki I did leave a voicemail on the initial call I made but unfortunately nobody did get back to me. I managed to speak to Ben after the Easter break and I'm all booked in. Thanks for the reply
