Title: Amber oil light

Hi Guys!
    Wifey came home today with Amber low oil light on!
           Iv'e seen lots of posts with red light on ,but can't find much info on amber situation .
               Oil was a bit low but light keeps coming on although oil is topped up.
    So make this 66 year old boy racers easter  and give me the gen I need and I will send you all big chocolate eggs ,

Could be pressure / level sensor or blocked pickup pipe.

Best checking the fault codes, and I guess it goes without saying you should avoid using the car, incase there is some failure in the lubrication system

I had this with mine even though the oil level was fine. I ended up replacing the oil level/temp sensor which is in the sump. You will also find its tied in with the bonnet catch. It won't reset the light if it hasn't seen the bonnet open (assuming you would check the oil while under there) so could possibly be a bonnet catch.
