Hi,
New member here and i have been after a GTI for a while now. We recentley received the news of a first edition to our family so excitedly i started looking at 5 dr Golfs...long story short i got talked into getting a 1.4 170 bhp, which i regretted!! While there is nothing wrong with the 1.4 it just doesnt cut it! So thats up for sale and im on the hunt for GTI. If any members are thinking of selling or know of anyone looking sell in the Surrey/Hampshire area.
I have a bit of a checklist in terms of extras which are hopefully not too rare!!
- Black / Grey colour
- Around the £8000 mark
- 5 doors
- 2006 - 2008 year
- 50 to 70 K mileage
- Leather
- 18 Monzas
- Satnav
- Sunroof
Really would appreciate some feedback guys!
Thanks

Welcome and Good luck with the hunt!

Thanks..turns out my spec is rarer than I thought!

Mine has all the items you listed but in Tornado Red. Not selling but it took close to 2mnths to find it, so hopefully you found yours in near future

Welcome to the forum :drinking:
With a spec list like that, don't be afraid to travel to get a good one with everything you want :happy2:
Just think of that journey home :driver:

Thanks...im starting to look at other alternatives and would like more help! :happy2: If the car with that checklist is becoming more unlikely to find im looking into different options. For example there is a Edition 30 for sale at the moment not a million miles away but has close to 100 k on the clock so i suppose my questions is what are peoples views on cars with 100k on the clock if they appear to be looked after e.g FSH, 1-2 owners etc?
Also would like to hear from anyone who has ever purchased a CAT D car? if its a potential bargain or avoid them!
Lastly the R32 is a potential option :scared: thoughts??
Cheers

I found one :happy2:
picked it up the other day...spec wasnt completley checked off but for the price/age/mileage it was too hard to resist! Plus the things it is missing i can easily have these done aftermarket...so all round good news
cheers guys

Congratulations! Post some pics up

I will do..it's just having a full service and i want to do/have a couple of cosmetic bits sorted first before I post some pics!!
I am considering a re-map after these bits are done...I will either go for a bluefin or AMD (it's in woking which is on my doorstep) any views/experiences with these two would help.
Cheers
