Title: Will 3mm of rear pads last until Wednesday?
Post by: kelv on April 04, 2015, 11:36:09 pm
So my GTI has an advisory to get the rear pads replaced. There's about 3mm left on each and I'm doing a couple hundred mile trips next couple days for Easter.

Have booked in to get them sorted on Wednesday and have been gentle on the brakes anyway. I have no idea what the wear rate is like (n00b!). Think I should be ok.

What do people here reckon? Thanks!

Phew! Thanks!

Now I have an engine warning light :(

Not too worried as seems fine and I know what these jittery sensors are like. Wife has a Polo :D

Cheers!

Check the PCV valve and the DV valve cheap to replace and could fix the EML  :happy2:

Haha! Thanks!

I have no idea what you're talking about though. I really am hardcore n00b

Will see whether I can get my local VW specialist to diagnose tomorrow and see what the VAGCOM(?) says.

Cheers!

Modified inlet valve causing issues. Had no idea I had one :/

Having a standard one fitted.

Glad it's nothing major :D
