Title: Seat tipping lever .... Falling off !

I have a great combination, passenger seat tilt and slide mechanism is shot but that's being sorted, but the plastic handle keeps coming off in my hand just to make life even more difficult.
Question ?   What holds the thing on ? It pushes on and seems to be engaged but then when you get really frustrated with the mechanism it comes off in your hand again. Am I missing something or do I just go and buy a new one.

Theirs normally a small metal clip that fits onto the metal lever and this has barbs that hold the plastic handle on
