I have a small amount of sideways play in my gear stick, so when moving the stick left and right there is play. I have tried resetting the adjusters and it does go into gear easier but I still have the small amount of play, just wondering if this is normal or how I can remove the play. I used a nail when resetting the adjusters not a dowel and the nail was not the exact size required, could this add to the issue? Cheers

I don't think mine is rigidly in place when in gear, but its only a few millimetres of movement which I assume is normal on a gearbox that's covered a few laps of the earth. :happy2:

I had some pretty sloppy shifting so I installed a Forge Short Shift Kit

You can see the comparison of the OEM plastic version and the uprated Forge one - only took me 20mins to change

Great well made upgrade that has tightened up the gear stick
