Hello does anyone have any good links for some headlight bulbs that don't bust after a month and at the same time are bright
I have had a bad experience with the halfords considering I bought the top of the range on two separate occasions and they only lasted a month. :sad1:

I went for some Phillips bulbs which come with blue tinting side lights for a bit of a Xenon look:

They got quite a few awards in the review magazines so I chose them. But Osram Nightbreakers are also a really good bet and about the same price.

I would avoid the "top of range" bulbs of any make advertising 100% or 120% brighter than standard. The only way to get more light from a 55watt bulb is to run filament at higher temperature, by definition this means that lifetime will be shorter than standard. Lifetime should be longer than a couple of months, but running hotter filament will make it more sensitive to vibration and bumps in road etc. Read many bad reviews of Halfords bulbs.
I've got HIDs on Gti but for my mums Passat went for H7 Bosch Plus 60. These are noticeably brighter than oem. Lifetime so far is 4 months and rising.
