Look closely and those spokes are actually the Pirelli P logo... They are standard wheels for this car! It is beautiful and I'd love to own one for collectors sake but £15K buys me an S3!

Nice that. Top notch. What's the price like? Expensive, cheap, about right?

Yeah, it's the right one for the car. MFSW with yellow stitching.

It's about right considering the spec and mileage...

Also very expensive. Can pick these up for 11-12k, never seen one anymore than that.

This car was in the GTI special edition of VW Driver in June 2012, the car was at Inters that year

It was bigged up a supreme example but was far from a minter as wheels were shocking as was the paintwork, this looks like it has had cosmetic work done and also has a crooked Golf badge rather than GTI badge on the rear, I think markymark met the owner

This was a stock car ordered by VW which hung around until 09 for registration (factory orders closed on this in August 2008 and would have been built during 2008), the VW specs were interesting as car had nav but no mfd or mrs

Steering wheel has a blank with cheap sticker rather than GTI and the quirk part mfs set up

Way over priced as 5 doors in dpd are probably most common and not a great spec, also I think if buying one for top money needs to be relatively un molested with original paint, so not yellow calipers or grill surround, having seen this in the pictures I see why VW stuck with red

I don't see these as appreciating at the moment

I still can't get past those seats, really not my cup of tea.
What were they thinking?

There's supposed to be 70 odd DSG equipped cars of the 222 in the UK.

Yup rev counter is not genuine foils.
Very messed with example.
Fonts are not genuine, I have seen a few rare GTI fonted TDI clusters in Europe (for example one of them has a build thread up on here) and this is not one of them lol

Was literally just about to ask about rev counter... I like it!!

How would one go about getting this? Special clock and dodgy coding I assume?

It wouldn't work at all. It looks like genuine GTI cluster going from the fuel and temperature gauges but the speedo and rev counter foils are wrong.

If you put a TDI cluster in a petrol it will just rev off the end of the gauge.
If you put a petrol cluster in a TDI it will never hit the redline on the dash

In both cases the displayed RPM would be correct.
Redline on a TFSI by default is around 7k on the dials so it would be well off the end.

It's crazy money, dealer is asking waaaaay too much for it. Don't know what to make of that rev counter, 1/2 a MFSW, Midline computer, dodgy pirelli sticker on the steering wheel instead of a gti logo....walk away and keep looking

As said, weirdly messed with: Clocks wrong / MFSW wrong / no GTI rear badge but GOLF - painted callys and lipstick (however I'd be tempted to do that on a Pirelli)- needs Chrome pack AND WAAAY overpriced.

I much prefer the Grey £12,000 ED30 that ebay suggested when I clicked on the Pirelli link
