Hi all,
I'm looking to put a bluetooth module (9w7) in my Golf Gti MK5 edition 30. Where is the best location to put it? I read for the mk6 it's under the driver seat secured in foam box. Can I do the same on a mk5? If it can go in the dash, what's the best way to secure it?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Surjit

my one is under my seat in my mk5 however I have managed to get it behind and below the rns unit as well but I had to remove a lot of things to guide it through. it was quite secure once everything was screwed back in but to be honest its so much easier to put it under the seat in foam box

Thanks. I'll put it under the driver's seat then :) Do you know if the same foam box for the mk6 will fit on the mk5 as well or do I need to get a different one?

not too sure buddy. maybe someone else can clarify that on here?

Hi mate you can also install under the passenger seat and route the cabling along the passenger side as opposed to drivers side.
Re the foam box, as per golf gt has posted the part number is 1K0 919 737 M, as this is what I have and it fits perfectly.

Mine is under the radio behind the climate control panel along with my MDI unit, it's a nice snug fit and doesn't rattle about

Thanks for the advice guys.

I have done the same, been like it for over 5 years now, no issues at all :happy2:
