Hid kits should be banned..put them in your lights are the beam patterns will be all over the place
-
Ebay or hiddirect search them In google
-
Get some proper OEM xenon's instead of dazzling other road users with HID's in standard halogen light fittings
-
How easy / hard is it to fit OEM xenons? And don't you need the jet washers to go with them?

No you don't.
Very easy.

As far as I was aware as long as you had projector headlights and not the reflector type the HID kits were fine and just needed the normal alignment?
There are a few kits about from £50-90 online through places like HIDS4U and the rest. But please make sure your headlamps are suitable for them and aren't going to blind anyone or anything infront of you!

Yep but most peeps fit them to the reflector headlamps - cos its cool innit!
Chavvy 8000k blue tinged headlights dazzling everyone on the road - innit bruv!

Agree with StuF.
HIDS should never be installed in reflector headlights - end of story.
Three options - in order of preference.
1 - Retrofit some MK5 Xenon headlights, dead easy to fit, you DON'T need headlight washers or self levelling - cost wise budget for £400-£500 but worth every single penny.
2 - Get some projector headlights and a decent set of HIDS but make sure you do the 6 o'clock mod - Budget for £300+
3 - Get some decent up rated headlight bulbs like Philips extreme plus - Budget for £20.

Unless of course you're in Northern Ireland! In which case, you DO need washers for xenons.
Stupid DVANI.

Legally for EU Type approval you do in the UK, for MOT purposes though you don't

In mainland UK, yes, but for Northern Ireland, no. MOT requires them.

People over here just make a T in the windscreen washer lines and run a pipe to the lights! Passes MOT as there is no requirement of any pressure - so long as there is water on the lens! So, so dumb.
Note the taped pipe...
