Apologies for another thread on cruise control but I have searched & read up on a lot of posts but can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for.
I have a 2006 gti which came with mfsw & highline clocks - am I right in thinking that I have the wire to the ecu & that all that is required is the stalk itself & some coding via vagcom?
Secondly, how do I know which stalk I should be purchasing?
If anyone could link me to the correct one I would be very grateful.
Thanks :happy2:

As yours is a 2006 it is very likely the wire will be there, in fact I will put money on it!
Drop @Eddie-NL (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=2345) a PM, he will sort you out :happy2:

I'll drop him a pm, cheers for the advice :happy2:

my old 55 plate didn't have the wire :(

IIRC all GTIs had the wire.
Stalks can be had for around £38 on eBay (G Part no) and are pretty much plug & play with VCDS :happy2:

My early 05 GTI didn't have the wire

I believe it was early 2007 and onwards that had them. My April 2007 had it.
