Title: Canbus Gateway Part Numbers

Hi All,

I have just bought an RCD310 head unit for my 2007 Mk5 GTi and am searching for a replacement Canbus gateway of the right revision so I don't get the battery drain. Just got a couple of questions though if anyone can help...

1. 1K0907530 - This comes up as fitting all sorts of VAG cars - Skodas, Audis, other VWs, etc. But does it matter what car it has come out of or is it exactly the same so long as it has that part number?

2. I am looking for one of revision L or later - is this correct or does it have to be revision L? I have seen all sorts... L, Q, AD - I presume anything later than L will do the job?

Thanks Olsen. Do you know if it matters what car the gateway comes out of, or are they all the same under that part number?
