Hi All,

Thought I'd post in here and say hello.

On the hunt for a Mk5 Golf Gti DSG second car, partly so wife and I have some wheels whilst I hunt down a decent B7 RS4 avant after I sell my A4, and partly because I think the Gti is a great car and I really fancy a paddle shift one! My wife still misses my mk4 gti.

I've had an assortment of VAG motors; started off in a purple 1.0L polo, then 1.4Cl polo (moving up in the world, even had power steering), mk4 Golf 1.8T Gti, Audi B6 S4, and my current B8 A4 2.0T Quattro S-Line.

My old gti was remapped, on coilovers, ASA AR1 alloys from Germany (before they sold them in the uk), TT front brakes, H&R arbs, milltek, tints, smoothed rear, r32 front bumper, anniversary skirts, debadged grill, whole car sound deadened, and a diy boot install with a false floor and custom aluminium VW logo hiding a JL sub and a pair of genesis amps.

I think I'll leave the MK5 standard. Well standardish. At first...

Cheers guys. Seeing a mk5 Gti tomorrow, hopefully it's the one! Also seeing an RS4 avant next week ;-)

No s-tronic unfortunately, was hard enough to find a manual 2.0t quattro s-line at a sensible price...I flew from London to Belfast to get this one!
