Any ideas why my tyre pressures warning light keeps coming on when my tyre pressure hasn't changed? Usually after longer drives
-
this happened to me yesterday and has a few times in the past, like you say mostly on longer drives and the pressure hasn't changed. all I can think of is a possible dirty sensor that may need cleaning. Not entirely sure how it works, I just reset it haha

im sure it takes measurements of resistance on the road and if it notices a difference it will throw up the warning light. dont think there are any sensors involved. was thinking it could have something to do with road surface maybe. strange one.

It uses the ABS sensors to measure how fast each wheel rotates, and if a tyre were to have less air in it than the others, the sensors would pick this up as the wheel would be rotating more times per minute than the others.
Try putting all your tyre pressures the same using a garage digital air compressor, then press and hold the tyre button to reset the system. Should do the trick :happy2:
