Title: VCDS on my ED30
Post by: irish_ram on April 12, 2015, 03:49:21 pm
Hi All,

I plugged my Software into my new ED30 yesterday and was following the guide for US Spec Lights which I did on my old GT Sport however when I go into Central Electronics it does not seem to have any options for changing what the video says. As you scroll through each byte option there are no options below apart from  alist labelled Bit 1 - 9

Is this right and could it be something is wrong with reading my car?

Only thing I can add is that VCDS seemed to not work well when I was running Windows as a Virtual Machine on my MacBook. Needed to connect it up using Bootcamp for native Windows.

Just on the off chance that's what you're using!

Whereabouts are you based? Welcome to come and use mine!

Cheers for that mate,

I am based in Ollerton near Worksop.

I used the same version VCDS,cable and Laptop on old car only a few weeks ago so wondered if it was the car Eletrics maybe.

It connects fine and runs diagnostics fine and other me us have all the different options to change apart from this one.

I may re-install and try again tonight. Just wanted to make sure that there were no differences between on ED30
