Bought a GTI few weeks ago and just had a health check done for a peace of mind...
the results show the o/s/f cv gaiter is split and he said its leaking a bit of grease...
any ideas of how much this should cost and any places that will do this?
iautouk quoting around £125ish for part, supply and fit

Funny enough they spotted the same on mine when it had a VW health check done! I managed to get a premium boot from GSF for about £10 when they had a 35% discount weekend on. And had it fitted by my trusty mechanic for about £40 so quite a saving can be made if you shop around.

What boot was this? In other words is it a specific type? I need to get one...

I can't remember the make but it had all the VW part numbers stamped on it, to be honest I think it was a geniune part that was repackaged (probably made by the same company)
