Title: Heat Resistant Wax - Wheels

Thinking of getting my wheels diamond cut again instead of sprayed (I've tried both).

When I get the wheels back I intend on sealing them but would have just used jetseal 109 and topped up with autoglym super hd wax once a month or so.

I won't be going down the ceramic coating line of things and I'd like it to be something I could do at home.

Does anyone @xjay1337 (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=7542)  I'm looking at you know what wax is ideal for the wheels... i.e. does it have to be temp resistant?

Fk1000p hi temp wax is great on wheels  :happy2:

EDIT - it's also great on paint work so it becomes a multi purpose wax and the tin is huge for something like 20 quid and is durable.

Mate you can do ceramic coating on wheels at home, it's nowhere near as difficult as paintwork. Just IPA wipe them and get some C5 on them it'll last much longer. If not though as above the fk1000 wax is very good.

We use carpro DLUX or Cquartz Uk.
i have cquk on my white team dynamics. most of the dirt comes off with just a jet wash and you only need a bit of car shampoo and water to clean them if theyre heavily soiled.

Any decent ceramic coating product would do the sanesansame, such as c1/c5.
top with reload or c2v3 depending on what products you use

We do use fk1000p if a ceramic coating has not been paid for which does last 3-6 months depending on use on wheels. Just avoid harsh cleaning chemicals.

Another vote for FK1000P here; also used Collinite 845 Insulator wax on wheels to great effect.
