Title: annoying ipod connection

so just connected my ipod classic to my car today via the glove box compartment. As soon as I connect I see a vw logo and the most retarded user interface ever, Can't scroll through music or change playlist no menu. Anyway to use default apple ui instead when connected?

Yep thats how the program works mate, mine is same using ipod nano 1st generation, if you create 5 playlists on your ipod you can then select them on your head unit by choosing cd 1-6
Number 6 is always your whole ipod played in random shuffled order and 1-5 are your chosen playlists!

Also it doesn't support charging on anything newer than ipod nano 3rd generation  :sick:

I believe that CD6 only actually plays 100 random tracks from your iPod and not the whole music list

No, CD1-5 is playlist listed alphabetically 1-9 a-z
CD6 is the whole iPod (songs)
Mix enables shuffle.
