Title: ProFlow Back box - So far so good :)
Post by: RichardFellows on April 16, 2015, 10:37:07 am
Morning Guys and Gals,

Just thought id post a little update. Had a mid cat-back tail pipe fitted on Monday, and so far so good. Sounds lovely, nothing too antisocial, and doesn't do your head in when you're just pottering along, low revs.

Decided to go with a local garage that's done a few "ProFlow" exhausts on previous Vauxhall's and Honda's that my brother and myself have owned, as they did a brill job on those previously; fabricated, fitted and performed really well.

Chap basically cut the standard back box off (which is quite big and heavy), and I was more than happy with the Zeus-like noises splurging from the rear, therefore no need for a custom back box with any baffles. The 2 other silencers and turbo stop it from being ridiculously chavy "Corsa Bruv" loud. So he then fabricated some piping and made a lovely job of welding a new flange type fitting, shaped and bent the tubing, added new hangers and welded fairly close to OEM tips to finish the job.

For £130, im really happy with this mod, seems to have opened up the exhaust gas flow and im getting a load more turbo spool noise, which in turn is making my trouser area feel nice :)  :happy2:

A friend of mine used these previously too, they did a brilliant job on his saxo vts turbo. However this was a fair few years back now

Richard, are you able to tell us where the local garage that did the fitting is?
