Title: What size are my Edition 30 rear brake discs?
Post by: Bish155 on April 19, 2015, 04:40:12 pm
I'm looking to change my rear discs and pads on my edition 30, but there seems to be a few sizes available, does anyone know what size is correct?

They also come in 282mm which is also a solid disc and eradicates the scabby lip that forms on 286mm discs

With all your mods, isn't it a good time to upgrade to R32/S3 rears  ?!

Also if you whould like a cheap R32 setup look for these part numbers:

TRW BDA690 - R32 caliper carrier rear left

TRW BDA691 - R32 caliper carrier rear right

TRW BHS938 - R32 caliper rear left

TRW BHS939 - R32 caliper rear right

I started looking for TRW part numbers after i've seen that my Cupra OEM rear brakes were made by them, so they are the same thing but a lot cheaper.

Zimmerman 100.3309.20 - rotors 310x32mm (not OEM, a cheap quality product as long as u stay away from drilled ones)

You can always go for Caddy calipers, which have the same 41mm pot as the R32 caliper using stock caliper carriers and discs, but the bigger vented R32 rotors will give more cooling.
