Title: Rear Hub Bearing size?

Can anyone tell me wether theres a definitive way of knowing which size of rear bearing/hub i require, without actually taking the hub off the stub axle and measuring it first? Either 30 or 32mm? Cheers, rick.

Are you replacing your wheel bearing? I want to replace mine as it is very noisy but unable to download the guide http://vwts.ru/suspension/g5/g5_40-5.pdf - Wheel bearing, assembly overview
