Morning everyone,
I thought I'd introduce myself on here as I picked myself up a '55 plate MK5 GTI earlier in the week to use as a daily. I'd been driving my B8 S4 to work for a while and the miles are just piling up (5000 since January) and that needed to stop.
So I picked up a slightly tatty Mk5 that was for sale 30 mins away from me for the princely sum of £4200 which I didn't think was too bad for a MK5 on 102,000 miles.
It's nothing special spec wise but it had full service history, a VagCom scan didn't turn up anything untoward and the arches showed no signs of rust all in all pretty good.
Rookie error - I havent taken any photos yet but I'll leave you with one of the S4 instead... 483PS

Good move! where are you going for the work, MRC?
They're excellent cars all that power and still refined and able to waft you to the alps (whilst getting stuck in 4 hours of traffic) no problem.
I managed to find a minute to take a photo whilst cleaning my mums TTS this morning:

I gave it a good interior scrub and popped some 10mm spacers on the rear :happy2:
It needs the headlights restoring and a proper polish but otherwise it's in pretty good shape.
