A cheep piece of kit. What effect would it have? If it made any kind of improvement to the runing of the engine id pay that for it to be honest
Any one have one fitted??

Zboyd runs one you can see it in this link :happy2:

oh come on, that cant do anything surely! not on its own anyway!

me thinks that John was being sarcastic...
-
i wasnt directly replys to his post, but the product. its not worth the hassle for one bit of tube
-
Just aesthetics then :happy2: Was maybe a bit ambitious to expect much from a bit of pipe
-
sarcasm doesnt always translate well on a forum :signLOL: Im learning that..... (sorry RR :drinking:)
In this case I wasnt though, I havent seen the inner flow of the TB so Ive no idea if theres a benefit, so I'm not going to shoot it down without evidence
there must be some reason why forge produce a pipe........(I would hope)
the other discharge pipes (Neuspeed / normal hoses by a member on here) certainly seemed to have a dyno proven improvement. (albeit they are much longer pipes.)
-
if its going to help at all, it would have to be part of changing all the hoses. but better for forge to sell separately i would guess
-
i can't see any performance gains on that bit whatsoever...just a bit of bling really.
now replacing the Turbo > IC > TB pipes are defo worth it due to the compressed nature of the OEM items. :happy2:

Link or supplier to K04 version please???

I have one on mine and it gave me 32bhp and 68lb/ft :P
Seriously it made naff all difference. However i did notice that the OEM one would swell quite a lot when revving the engine even at stand still (i'm Stage 2+) so i replaced that part as it is a bit stiffer and doesn't swell anywhere near as much. I did notice from data logging that the car made slightly more boost (0020 on average) so it is not something you would ever notice or be able to measure (maybe get 0.01bhp increase) and to be honest the difference could have been caused by a change in intake temp or anything.
For me it just more for reliability

Thanks for the responses.

I wasn't expecting bags of torque or horse power. Thought maybe the inside diameter may be better or being less prone to flexing / collapsing. Looks like its just an eye candy thing thought obviously...
-
its open as long as im not working late, which as you know happens a fair amount. I spend more time n work than i do out.
mike, why dont you contact SFS hoses and if they dont do a hose set for the k04, offer up yours for some free trialling. To be fair they will be exactly the same as the k03 length wise, maybe with a different diameter at the turbo end,

Just found the Eurojet version which you may be interested in!

Looks very close to the fans  SFS were saying they made adjustments to make for 10 - 15mm more clearance (on the Ko3)
JBS are fairly close to me but havent been overly impressed with their customer service in the past
