Title: Getting my iPod dock in the armrest to work

Hi. I have a 2007 ed30 and it has the iPod dock installed but it doesn't play any music through the rcd310 installed. When the iPod is sat in the dock it will power up and a vw logo will appear. I'm getting a rrcd510 today will this enable it to work easier ?
