Thought its about time I get my own thread for my Techno Taxi as Ive been on here a while now and not bothered.
Last April/May I went on Deal or No Deal, my show was aired in December and I walked away with £11,500.
That was the highest offer and my box only had 50p in it!
Naturally I spunked the lot on a Candy White Edition 30 as Ive always wanted one.
Im a 25 year old apprentice, Im not on a piss poor wage but theres no chance I would have been able to save enough to get one.
The car is fairly well spec'd, only thing it didnt have was the RNS510.

I then wrapped the badges in carbon, but i ended up ordering a faux carbon rear badge and colour coded the boot mechanism, I was going to do it properly but the boot trim scared me off so I cheated and used sticker inserts. They dont match, probably end up changing the front at a later date.

Next up was an intake, I went for the ram air option because of some positive reviews and half the price of others out there. (Please excuse the dirty engine bay, its on the to-do list.)

The RCD300 was pissing me off so I was on the look out for a new headunit, I decided to ignore the RNS510 because its quite expensive to get everything I wanted and from what Ive read can be a bit of a headache. I found a chinese copy used on gumtree for £100, now for £100 you cant complain really, does everything I wanted. You can probably see a recurring theme here of me being a cheapskate :P
At the same time I also got the carbon wrap out again and done the centre dash and the DSG surround. I should do it again really as its a bit messy.

Future plans include Turbo back exhaust, remap and the wheels could do with a refurb aswell.
After that ill probably look at getting r32 brakes and that'll probably be it for power and stopping mods.

There's a clip connected to the prnds lights aswell you need to undo.
Double check that tho before you do anything in case I'm wrong or missed something off.

Cracking car mate. I have the ramair intake. See the pipe below the intake that is shown with 2 clips on pic, watch the heatsheild doesn't cut in to that pipe mine was starting to but i got some of this.

Awesome, thanks for that, Ill get it ordered now.
Ive put a tie wrap round the heat shield on to that pipe just to hold it off as a quick fix but.
The edges arent the friendliest on that heat shield like are they.

I've now got a 3" turbo decat r32 style from EMS Performance, it's only got one resonator on it and it's loud, like really loud especially on full chat.
It came from a cupra which I'm presuming the back bumper comes out further than the r32 bumper as the tips are hanging out a good few inch.
Need to get the tips cut and re welded to suit the r32 bumper which will need spraying aswell.
I'll upload some photos and a video tommorow when it's not raining. And when my girlfriend goes home coz she only whines about me and the car. Might trade her in for a new model.

Looks fantastic with the R32 pipes. You've got bit of a gem here in colour/spec/doors combo.
If it was me, I'd return to stock (as much as 'poss) when you come to sell as it'll be even rarer by then, they're hardly ten to the dozen now CW 3doors! :happy2: :party:

Sorry for the late reply, havent been using the forum as much lately, propa busy studying for my final exam on my apprenticeship and trying to sell my mams house.
