Hey guys... Just bought a 2006 gti manual... Gotta admit its faster than any others ive test driving.
However when in 1st gear mainly and sometimes 2nd gear... At high revs the traction light flashes.
Wanted to know if it was normal? Once the car is pulling its hardest it flashes in first 2 gears!
Any ideas at all would be great!
Thanks

it's the wheels spinning and the traction control coming in to stop it  , check you still have tread on the front tyres if you've been doing it lots
normal with lead right foot

As said mate
Wheel spin
Reason its faster than others you've test drove is because probably half Gti's on the road have got a torn Diverter valve diaphragm resulting in heavy loss of power
(£40 part and 20 minutes to change)
Enjoy the car :driver: :happy2:

Drive with the traction off next time :driver: :driver: :driver: :driver: :happy2: as above the torn dv makes it feel very slow.

Thanks for the insight.... Didnt think was nothin serious... Just being critical... Too br honest the tyres do need a change... Cars in for full service and cambelt kit change so tyres soon as it comes out!
Thanks again
