Title: H11 LED lamp will not fit my foglight ? ... Am I missing something ?

Hi guys,
Bought a couple of H11 LED lamps to run my fog lights as DRL's come to fit the and the pin centres in the sockets and on the new lamps are different ?  Otherwise it all looks the same, I assumed a H11 was a H11 but apparently not, any idea's anyone ? I have looked a a lot of other pictures of lamps and on face value all of them being offered have the pins close together near the centre location peg whereas my golf has the pins spread much wider ?

GTI/GT/Jetta's are HB4 (with the sports bumper) and other mk5's are H11

Thanks guys never heard of a HB4 ! Done good old ebay and yes the pictures on there are showing the pins spaced wider apart and are likely to be the ones I need.
Why does life have to be so complicated ! The manuf. are always quoting ' the more models we make with the same parts ..hence loads of models now that are pointless ! ..the cheaper we can produce them '  Then simple things like fog lights are different ... Why ?
