Title: MFSW buttons fitted - How do you code them?
Post by: Nino on May 03, 2015, 12:55:41 pm
Hi all,

I have looked though similar topic but none give a definate answer.

I just installed MFSW buttons to my DSG and the left buttons do the following:

Right buttons do the following:

My Question is, can these buttons be recoded to do what you tell them via Vagcom? I would in an Ideal world like to move the the Up/down arrows to be able to skip tracks on my CD and maybe alter the Star/Phone and menu buttons to also have a better function.

I only have a MID display and I am hoping that someone will say it is possible and not say I need a FULL display :(

I think if you tick the bap protocol  box in vcds then you can control the rns tracks.  But if you had a highline  menu then you lose some of those functions.  Give it a try

Hi just a quick one
To get the mfsw working in 2007 Gti is it as simple as purchasing the 2 sets of buttons off ebay and removing my steering wheel blanking caps then click the buttons in place and get them activated through vagcom etc?

I have highline display if that makes any difference! Found the buttons for around £30

Any other parts or modules required?
Any help/advice appreciated

Yes, but all at your own risk.
Just take your time cutting the first one and the otherside will be much easier.

You will need the mfsw airbag loom also.

Kam88 has a how to ! !
