Post by: garrardrj on May 03, 2015, 07:26:40 pm
So anyone in Car sales on here can give me some idea what a Car salesmen earns working for a dealership , like Skoda Audi Bmw Vw etc ?
Somebody elsewhere is suggesting that a 22 year old is earning £100k pa , now i am always sceptical about peoples earnings having met many serious exaggeraters in my life

So if you are a good salesman . Most basic salaries are around £10 - £18k , dependent on what brand you are selling but is £100k actually achievable . Luxury brand possibly but a premium brand like merc/bmw/audi/vw ?

People vulgar enough to talk about their salary are generally the type that would also inflate it.

Pic P60 with the pertinent bits erased and "hello garrardrj" would suffice.

£100k as a dealership salesperson sounds bit high even for the luxury marquees..

VW /Audi Id guess at £35-55k? add maybe another £15-20k for luxury.

I very nearly worked at Audi before I went to uni and I got told told £25k-30k + commission if I remember correctly

I imagine they make around 3% commission so to make it up to 100k from an 18k basic You'd need to sell 2.7m worth of cars and that's assuming there's no commission cap

I work for macklin motors (the scottish equivalent of Bristol Street Motors) and our salesmen get 12k basic + whatever commission they earn.. I'm tempted to ask what it can equate too on a good month but it's a little nosy  :ashamed: :sad1:
