Title: Changing the cd player in a mk5 gti
Post by: jordan7050 on May 04, 2015, 03:34:58 pm
Wanting to change the cd player, any tips or recommendations? Have seen a few on ebay but was wondering what the best would be, i would like one that would still utilise the 6 cd changer in arm rest if possible and if it could have sat nav then that would be a bonus!

Also, is it difficult to do myself or would i be better off getting it done elsewhere?

Thanks

depending on money alot of people go for the RNS 510, its a VW unit so everything would work the same as it does now

they are pretty easy to change, can be done in around 20 minutes if you know what you are doing, took me about 40 the first time i tried it!

I used this guide when changing mine. I just upgraded to an RNS510.
